Beyond the Brave is the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set releasing on October 9, 2026, with Joey Wheeler as its cover duelist. Joey Wheeler's cards: Dark Time Wizard

The centrepiece of the set is Dark Time Wizard, a Quick-Play Spell that celebrates Joey's famous duels. When you activate it, you choose one of two effects:

• The safe option: add a card that mentions Dark Time Wizard from your Deck to your hand, and get Dark Time Wizard back from the Graveyard during the End Phase.
• The risky option: toss a coin. Win, and you destroy all your opponent's monsters and deal damage. Lose, and your own monsters are destroyed.

Cards that mention Dark Time Wizard include reimagined Joey classics: Swiftwind Panther Warrior, Alligator's Dragon Knight, Jinzo - Energy Shocker, Fisherman of Legend, Graceful & Skull Dice, Sleepy Scapegoats, Foolish Graverobber and Reversal Box.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed

If monsters are destroyed by Dark Time Wizard, you can bring out Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed, a new 3400 ATK Fusion Monster that's protected from the opponent's activated Spell and monster effects and summons a Level 8 or lower monster from your hand or Graveyard. It's the headline Red-Eyes card of the set. Collectors should also look for the extended art version (BETB-EN036).

Destiny HERO support

Aster Phoenix's Destiny HEROes get new cards, including Destiny HERO - Doom Overlord, Destiny HERO - Destro-Dogma, Destiny HERO - Dreadnought Master and a new Field Spell, Dark City at Midnight. If you've played D-HERO before, these give the archetype new search, recursion and Fusion options.

Atlantis and the sea

A water-themed engine centres on Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon, a Field Spell that lowers monster Levels and supports Link monsters such as Azure Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus Rage and Levia-Dragoon - Daedalus. Call of Atlantis is also in the set.

Beyond the Brave also includes cards such as Black Skull Dragon, the Archfiend of Unity, CXyz Hope Chaos Barian Dragon, Ashtraja Susanoo, Ashtraya Mikumari no Mikoto, Angelechy Castellan, Clown Crew Cappello and Crow the Carrion Cutpurse. Beyond the Brave rarities and chase cards

With every Ultra Rare and Secret Rare also printed as a Starlight Rare, the set has a deep chase. Starlights are the hardest pulls in modern Yu-Gi-Oh!.
