Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters Card List & Set Guide

Updated August 2, 2026: This guide covers every Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters card that Konami has officially named or made identifiable so far. Konami has confirmed a 126-card set, but has not yet revealed every card in the 40-card foil-upgrade pool or the two 20-card reprint pools. We will update this MAMO card list when the remaining names are announced.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters is a premium special set arriving in September 2026. It combines 18 reimagined anime cards, extended-art treatments, serialized Grand Master Rares, six new boss monsters, alternate artwork and a compact reprint structure designed around fixed card pools.

For collectors, the headline is the new Grand Master Rare. For players, the set offers new anime-inspired cards, first-time foil upgrades and another chance to pull competitive staples. Here is everything confirmed for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Magnificent Monsters set so far.

Magnificent Monsters release date and box contents

Each Magnificent Monsters box contains three five-card packs, with every regular card printed as an Ultra Rare. The box also includes three bonus Secret Rare cards, each with a chance to upgrade to the newer rainbow-border Starlight Rare treatment.

 

How the 126-card Magnificent Monsters set is organized

Magnificent Monsters uses a slot system instead of a single large randomized pool. Each five-card pack contains one card from each of five regular pools:

• Pool A — 20 cards: 18 reimagined anime cards and two additional extended-art cards that have not been revealed.
• Pool B — 20 cards: Eight new anime cards and 12 alternate-art cards.
• Pool C — 40 cards: Cards receiving their first foil or Ultra Rare printing.
• Pool D — 20 cards: Previously foiled reprints.
• Pool E — 20 cards: A second pool of previously foiled reprints.

The three bonus cards also come from fixed pools. One is drawn from the six new boss monsters, one from the 10 chibi variants, and one from the remaining 10 cards in Pool B. Bonus cards are Secret Rares with a chance to upgrade to Starlight Rare.

All 18 reimagined anime cards

The first six Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series each receive three reimagined cards. Every card below is available as a standard Ultra Rare, an extended-art Ultra Rare and an extended-art Starlight Rare. These are also the only cards eligible for Grand Master Rare.

Yugi — Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters

• Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant: Special Summons itself by revealing a Spell, sets Dark Magician support and can trade a Spell for powerful Spell and Trap removal.
• Kuriboh – Multiply!: Can jump from the hand in response to an effect or attack, then find or summon Dark Magician or a 300 ATK/200 DEF monster.
• Dark Magical Curtain: Lets both players summon a DARK Spellcaster. Choosing Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl also searches named support.

Jaden — Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

• Favorite HERO Shining Flare Wingman: A flexible Fusion that recycles five monsters, draws two cards, gains ATK and burns after destroying a monster by battle.
• Favorite HERO Flame Wingman: Gains power in battle, extends with a low-Level monster and can turn a battle-destruction event into another Fusion Summon.
• Winged Kuriboh Sabatiel LV10: Pays half your Life Points to search a Polymerization or Fusion Spell and threatens a dramatic low-LP burn finish.

Yusei — Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

• Stardust Dragon – Victim Sanctuary: Tributes itself to negate an opponent's chained response, then converts that tribute into another Stardust Synchro Monster.
• Starjunk Synchron: Revives itself and a Level 2 or lower monster for a Synchro play, while its graveyard effect protects Junk Warrior.
• Synchro Emergency: Extends from the hand and potentially the Deck, then banishes itself from the Graveyard to perform a Synchro Summon.

Yuma — Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL

• Number 39: Utopia, Emissary of Light: Protects a monster, powers up on the second attack declaration and can take control of a monster it destroys.
• Gagaga Magician – Gagaga Magic: Pairs itself with an Onomat monster from the hand or Graveyard and immediately makes a thematic Xyz Monster.
• Gagaga Girl – Cell Phone Subtraction: Responds to an Extra Deck summon with an immediate Xyz Summon and can reduce an opposing monster to 0 ATK when detached.

Yuya — Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V

• Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, Four Heavenly Dragons: Searches a low-ATK Pendulum Monster, gains power from your scales, doubles battle damage and can recover itself after being destroyed.
• Horoscope Sorcerer, the Stargazer Magician: Offers Pendulum-side Spell negation, searches a 2500 ATK Pendulum Monster and recycles face-up Pendulum resources.
• Astrograph Sorcerer, the Starfrost Magician: Rebuilds Pendulum Scales, replaces destroyed monsters and enables a Dragon Fusion Summon by shuffling materials back.

Playmaker — Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS

• Decode Talker Integration: Gains ATK from Link Monsters, resists targeting and can send a Cyberse Monster from the Extra Deck to gain another monster attack.
• Cyberse Code Magician: Can act as Link Material from the hand and turns being sent to the Graveyard into Cyberse setup or extension.
• Cyberse Contract Witch: Searches a Ritual Monster and revives a same-Type monster that uses a different Extra Deck Summoning method.

Konami's released English previews retain a diagonal SAMPLE watermark. That watermark is part of the official preview artwork.

Grand Master Rare explained

Grand Master Rare is the new serialized chase rarity introduced in Magnificent Monsters. It uses a hieroglyphic-style border and appears only on the 18 reimagined anime cards listed above.

• Every eligible card has serial numbers from 001 through 100.
• There are 100 numbered copies of each card for the Americas.
• There is a separate run of 100 copies per card for markets distributed from Europe.
• European-distribution copies add an "E" to the serial number.
• All Grand Master Rares are printed in English.

That equals 1,800 Grand Master Rares for the Americas and another 1,800 across Europe-distributed markets. Konami has not published a guaranteed box or case ratio, so any claimed pull rate should be treated as speculation.

The eight new anime cards in Pool B

Pool B includes eight additional anime-inspired cards. These cards match the new-card portion of the OCG's Limit Over Collection: The Heroes, although final TCG names and text can still change before release.

• Underworld Circle: A late-game reset that destroys monsters on the field, removes remaining Deck monsters face-down and turns each Standby Phase into a Graveyard revival.
• Orichalcos Sword of Sealing: Negates the equipped monster and, while a Field Spell exists, can give one of your Effect Monsters a discard-to-destroy Quick Effect.
• Rainbow Bridge Bifrost: Banishes three Level 10 or higher monsters from the Extra Deck, including a LIGHT Synchro, to search any Field Spell.
• Malefic Force: Provides protection and a Malefic search while equipped, then combines with another Malefic card in the Graveyard for a monster wipe.
• Malefic Paradigm Shift: Can be activated from the hand by paying half your Life Points, accesses Malefic World and summons a Malefic while ignoring its conditions.
• Assault Blackwing – Kusanagi the Gathering Storm: A Synchro Tuner that gains the original ATK of its Synchro Materials and can attack every opposing monster with piercing damage.
• Master Spirit Tech Force – Pendulum Ruler: An effect-destruction-resistant Fusion Pendulum boss that restricts attacks, tributes monsters to destroy cards and can move into the Pendulum Zone.
• W:P Fancy Ball: The early competitive standout. It can negate and banish a monster effect, then Link Summon during the opponent's Main Phase, potentially using an opposing Link-2 or lower monster as material.

I:P Masquerena and S:P Little Knight receive major new variant artwork, while 10 popular cards receive chibi illustrations. These are alternate artworks rather than new effects.

All six new boss monsters

One of the three bonus cards in every Magnificent Monsters box comes from this six-card boss pool. Every boss appears as a Secret Rare with a chance to upgrade to Starlight Rare.

• End of the World Ruler: A Level 10 Ritual Monster that can copy a banished Ritual Spell's summoning procedure, then pay 2000 Life Points to destroy the rest of the field and gain 2900 ATK.
• Nightmare-Eyes Restrict: A Level 1 Fusion using two monsters of different Types among Fiend, Illusion and Spellcaster. It equips opposing monsters and converts their ATK into its own.
• Infernal Strike Fighter: A Level 7 Synchro that can destroy face-up monsters during Main Phase 2 and burn based on their combined original Levels.
• Galaxy-Eyes Antimatter Dragon: A Rank 9, 4000 ATK Xyz Monster that can rank up over an Xyz with three or more materials and attack monsters twice.
• Wind Unicorn Parallel, the Dracoslayer: A Level 6 Pendulum Monster that turns a second scale into an extender and can bounce one of your Pendulums plus an opposing card.
• Crystron Halqifibrax Prism: A Link-3 that summons a Tuner from the Extra Deck, then can banish itself during the opponent's turn to create three Crystron Tokens.

Confirmed foil upgrades and reprints

Konami has confirmed the structure of the remaining 80 cards but has not published every individual name. The honest Magnificent Monsters set list currently includes the following confirmations.

Pool C: 40 first-time foil upgrades

• Individually named: Toon Cyber Dragon, Sixth Sense and Waboku.
• Confirmed themes: Radiant Typhoon, Artmage, DoomZ and GMX.
• Still unrevealed: The remaining exact card names and final Pool C numbering.

Pools D and E: 40 returning foil reprints

• Medius the Pure
• Elzette, Azamina of the White Forest
• Gorgon of Zilofthonia
• Delinquent Duo
• Dark Magician the Magician of Black Magic
• Still unrevealed: The other 35 card names and the final division between Pools D and E.

Best Magnificent Monsters cards to watch

W:P Fancy Ball

W:P Fancy Ball is the early gameplay headliner. Its temporary self-banish becomes a negate-and-banish against a monster effect, while its opponent-turn Link Summon can potentially use an opposing small Link Monster. Decks that already make I:P Masquerena should be watching this card closely.

Dark Magician, the Pharaoh's Servant

The new Dark Magician package offers efficient access to both a monster and back row. Dark Magical Curtain can summon the new Dark Magician while replacing itself with support, and the monster can later trade a Spell for broad Spell and Trap removal.

End of the World Ruler

Ritual players should pay attention to a boss that can effectively copy a Ritual Spell's activation effect from the Deck. The 2000 Life Point cost is significant, but the payoff includes both reliable access and a Demise-style field clear.

Rainbow Bridge Bifrost

Searching any Field Spell is powerful. Bifrost demands three high-Level Extra Deck slots, including a LIGHT Synchro, so its best home will be a strategy that values its Field Spell more than the lost Extra Deck space.
